Through this project, RMCN is endeavouring to give our Seniors an easy at-home activity to replace their weekly visits to the Community Garden.
We are very grateful for the assistance from our Students from Federation University in running this online project.
It is essential that everything be done in a Covid-Safe way
This web site provides a short summary of the plans and aims to outline what's needed:
We are suggesting two options which you might like to consider.
Firstly, you may like to create your own piece of garden space in your own backyard!!
Dig the soil over.
Add some compost material and some fertiliser.
Then plant some seeds. !
RMCN is happy to assist you with a bag of soil mix or compost from Bunnings.
We can also assist with some seeds for you to grow, once we know what you'd like!
As an alternative, if you do not have an available space in your own backyard, We are able to provide each senior with:
a home-made wooded planter box,
a plastic liner,
some soil mix
and some seeds
